Entries Now Open for National Newspaper Awards/Les candidatures sont ouvertes pour le Concours canadien de journalisme

Toronto, December 15, 2014 – The National Newspaper Awards (NNAs) is now accepting entries for the 2014 competition.

Entries are being accepted in each of 22 categories between Dec. 15, 2014, and Jan. 15, 2015.

To be eligible, an entry must have been published first in 2014, in English or French, by a Canadian daily newspaper (whether in print, online, tablet or mobile) or by an online publication that has met criteria established by the NNA Board of Governors in accordance with the rules of entry.

This is the 66th year of the awards, which were established in 1949 to encourage excellence and reward achievement in daily newspaper work in Canada. Finalists will be announced in mid-March, and winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday, May 22, 2015, in Toronto, ON.

The entry fee is $40 + GST/HST per entry for organizations on the Benefactor List, and $50 + GST/HST per entry for other entrants. There is no entry fee in the Local Reporting category, which is open only to newspapers below 30,000 average daily circulation.

Toronto, le 15 décembre 2014 – Le Concours canadien de journalisme (CCJ) accepte actuellement les candidatures pour les prix d’excellence de 2014.

Les candidatures doivent être soumises dans chacune des 22 catégories entre le 15 décembre 2014 et le 15 janvier 2015.

Pour être admissible, une candidature doit d’abord avoir été publiée en 2014, en français ou en anglais, par un quotidien canadien (sur papier, en ligne, sur mobile ou tablette) ou par une publication en ligne qui répond aux critères établis par le conseil des gouverneurs du CCJ conformément aux règles du concours.

Il s’agit de la 66e année du concours, qui a été créé en 1949 pour encourager et reconnaître les meilleures réalisations du journalisme pratiqué dans les quotidiens au Canada. L’identité des finalistes sera annoncée à la mi-mars et on dévoilera le nom des lauréats lors du gala qui se tiendra le vendredi 22 mai 2015 à Toronto, Ontario.

Les frais d’inscription sont de 40 $, plus TPS/TVH par candidature pour les organisations de la liste des bienfaiteurs et de 50 $, plus TPS/TVH, par candidature pour les autres participants. Il n’y a pas de frais d’inscription pour la catégorie du Reportage à caractère local, qui est réservée aux journaux dont le tirage quotidien moyen est inférieur à 30 000 exemplaires.
